Motor City

Buckle-up my friends we’re about to let you in on some super secret deal making information.

Today is short story 2 of 3 in our “Zoom Zoom” Follow-up mini series.

·      How deals are made in Motor City

We’ve been thrilled about creating this post since the day it actually happened!
You see, before Gracie had the plush life as an event dog she spent her days working at Alpine Body Shop in Ogden, Utah. If you can believe it, she was a shop dog in a family auto body repair business.

A trip to Michigan meant journeying to a Holy Car Mecca, and these Knight girls were fired up for the epic adventure to begin!! (Please excuse our over use of exclamation marks in this post. We’re just SO excited about cars!)

We got down to business right away… Aunt Kristen was in the market for a new Jeep. We KNEW we had to accompany her if she was to do this car buying thing correctly. Yippee!!! Things were about to get exciting!

Gracie recommends all canines accompany their humans on such trips. It's critical that you can personally sniff out important features, this includes: ample room for causing mayhem, space to store ALL your toys when you travel, dual climate control, four wheel drive (for adventuring obviously), a media package (we can’t be expected to miss Animal Planet or Ceasar Milan when travelling) , and most importantly the right seat height to window viewing ratio.

Once a car has been found that meets all the canine criteria then we close this deal.

"How does one close a deal?" You ask...

 PINKY PROMISES!!!
Take note, fur friends, pinky promises indicate a highly lucrative deal and are obviously more legally binding than any paper agreement! As an expert contract negotiator Gracie insists on finalizing all contracts in the most secure fashion.  My friends, never forget the pinky promise!

Are any of you fellow Gear-heads, aka: Car Enthusiasts?  We’d love to know who you are!

Adventure Series

In today’s super exciting news we’ve got story 1 of 3 in a follow-up series from our "Zoom Zoom" post.
Hopefully you all remember that post. If you don’t remember it then, stop yourself right now and go read it. We aren’t terribly subtle are we?

Today’s Topic:
·      How many layers does it take to keep a Bichon warm

As many of you already know Gracie lives in Sunny South Florida, where, traditionally the belief in clothes isn't all that important. Er, I mean a belief in wearing clothes doesn’t seem all that important.

We looked on as cute pups on Instagram were sporting their fabulous winter attire.  Life, it seemed, was just unfair for the Knight Pack.  Then one-day things started looking up really quickly; we were going to visit friends in Michigan.

(Translation: It’s now time to buy those cute, warm clothes we’ve been coveting!)

Being Utah natives, we’re no strangers to snowy conditions. The trick to warmth is all in the layers.  We packed up our base layers first, this included Gracie’s @lucyandco as well as a personalized #knightpack hoodie from  the Etsy shop of It’s Pawsonally Yours.  We finished the ensembles off with a faux fur trimmed vest from the Martha Stewart Pet Collection.

Before you even have to wonder, yes, she has a snowsuit and boots, but we went with the much cooler hipster look this year.

The Result: Pure Snowy Bichon Bliss

Let's not forget out @wagaware charm. 50% of proceeds support rescue dogs and dog charities.

Temperatures were frigid to say the least, but I don’t think Gracie noticed. I’m pretty sure she would have spent our entire stay out in the snow if I’d let her.  I’m afraid we can’t be sure exactly how many layers it takes to keep Gracie warm, but a snappy hoodie and vest combo certainly can’t hurt.
